Dr. Gutman was born in Vancouver, BC Canada and grew up in Arizona before completing his undergraduate degree in neuroscience and physiology from UC San Diego. He would volunteer for Dr. Dorian on the weekends before moving to Fort Collins, CO to complete his Master's in Biomedical Sciences. He completed veterinary school through Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona in 2017.

 

He practiced in San Diego for 4 years before moving to the central coast in 2020 with his wife. Dr. Gutman partnered into Central Coast Veterinary Services and helped develop the Vetama brand starting in 2021. He loves the compassion and altruism that can be shared with the human/animal bond and strives to provide animals with their best quality lives through preventative care and integrative management. His special interests include novel therapeutics, neurology, pathology, and surgery.

 

If you see Dr. Gutman outside of the clinic or a Vetama van, you will likely find him with his wife, son, and/or daughter exploring the beautiful Central Coast, mostly likely on the beaches.
