Dr. Shannon Hazlebeck joined Central Coast Veterinary Services in 2025 after graduating from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. A San Luis Obispo local, she is elated to be returning to her hometown. While attending San Luis Obispo High School, Shannon became involved in FFA, showing pigs at the Mid State Fair, and diving head first in all things veterinary medicine. While completing her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Cal Poly SLO, Shannon participated in many enterprises, including Beef Calving, Equine Behavior Modification, and Veterinary Community Service, providing no-cost veterinary care to the dogs and cats of SLO at the Prado Day center.

 

Shannon is passionate about large animal medicine but also loves her Australian Shepherd and two cats with all her heart and looks forward to working as a Mixed Animal Associate. Outside of veterinary medicine, Shannon enjoys hiking, reading, chai lattes, playing board games, and being outside as much as possible.
